Christopher Nolan steps back into the director's chair for this sequel to Batman Begins, which finds the titular superhero coming face to face with his greatest nemesis -- the dreaded Joker. Christian Bale returns to the role of Batman, Maggie Gyllenhaal takes over the role of Rachel Dawes (played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins), and Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger dons the ghoulishly gleeful Joker makeup previously worn by Jack Nicholson and Cesar Romero. Just as it begins to appear as if Batman, Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) are making headway in their tireless battle against the criminal element, a maniacal, wisecracking fiend plunges the streets of Gotham City into complete chaos. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide read more»

“I loved it! Heath Ledger stole the show. I did feel that two face could have been a whole other movie but I still loved it. I was surprised how much i liked it. ”

“This was such a well done movie! The story was well done and the performances were fantastic. I was a little worried about Heath Ledger playing the Joker when I first heard he was cast. But, you would not even know it was him! He was incredible playing opposite Christian Bale. It is a dark story, but I would recommend this to anyone. Great movie!”

“What to say that hasn't already been said.... I Don't think there is anything. I think Christian Bale's voice was the same in this one as it was in Begins it's just that there was MORE of it this time around so it was a little more noticable. Heath Ledger impresses on every level. Aaron Ekhart did well as Harvey Dent and he definately sells the "White Knight" persona. The change comes pretty fast when he turns to "Two-Face" as I look back but while in the movie I didn't notice. Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine are just as great as you would expect them to be and its nice to see LT./Commissioner Gordan played as more than a bumbling fool. The IMAX shots are truely immersive and breathtaking. I loved this movie and everything in it. I truely can't stop thinking about it. It's the only movie in history that I have seen twice in the Theater. And No, There is no greater Trick than the Jokers.”
