Everyone's favorite archeologist adventurer dusts off his hat and trusty whip for yet another globetrotting trek as Indiana Jones returns to the big screen nearly 20 years after racing for the Holy Grail alongside his father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Harrison Ford reprises his role as the iconic, snake-loathing screen hero in a sequel that also finds Karen Allen returning to the series for the first time since 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Shia LaBeouf round out a cast that also features Cate Blanchett in the role of villainous Russian operative Agent Irina Spalko. Steven Spielberg calls the shots on a script penned by David Koepp (and adapted from the screen story by executive producer George Lucas). ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide read more»

“I don't think I'm quite as angry about it as crozzovers is. But I do agree with most of what he is saying. EVERYTHING in this movie feels forced, the action, the love for Indy's new found family, and mostly the comedy. I groaned more at this move then I do during some of my extra curricular activites. My kids enjoyed it well enough, but they are 5 and 8. They did not grow up loving the Indiana Jones movies like I did. So if your new to the series (where have you been?) you just might enjoy this one. If yer like me you'll wonder where that 36 bucks went...before treats.”

“There have only been a few times in my life when a film has truly let me down. For example, I thought the Matrix sequels were terrible and diminished the greatness of the first one. I also thought the first 15 minutes of Phantom Menace were an abomination to the Star Wars galaxy... well now I have another one to add to the Pantheon of failed expectations, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Piece of Crap.
The movie was filled with forced humor, uncomfortable lines and outlandish action sequences. Now don't get me wrong, Indiana Jones is all about outlandish action sequences, but the filmmakers always left a level of plausibility to what was happening. Not so with the Crystal Crap, it takes plausibility and leaves it behind in the vines with the monkeys, yes the same monkeys that inspire Shia LeLame to swing like Tarzan from tree to tree to save Indiana and his mom Methusela.
Wait to rent this movie, or I would even suggest wait until it comes out on TV, because its terrible and a volcanic zit on the face of the Indiana Jones trilogy. Shame on you Spielberg and shame on you Lucas, you have let us all down!”
